LONGVIEW THERAPY

Integrative Psychotherapy Practice
Psychologist Session

I offer weekly long term and short term Integrative and Relational therapy to individuals (18+) in a cabin office located amongst peaceful views of the countryside in Tardebigge.

I specialise in Relational Therapy, based on the concept that human suffering, on the most part, comes down to wounds inflicted in relationships throughout our lives. The blueprint of how you relate to others throughout your life, how it has helped or hindered you, is a great tool to help you understand how you have come to be, how it relates to your current issues, and to identify any changes you would like to make going forwards.

The client-therapist relationship that we build gives us great insight into understanding this, therefore building an open and honest culture that is mutual and respectful, safe and supportive, will be an essential element of our sessions. If there are unhelpful patterns of relating, I am keen to use our interactions as a safe way of confronting them in a tolerable way, with the commitment to safely try something different to break these patterns, as we explore the issues you bring to therapy.

"I have been able to get a better perspective of why my marriage may have split up and how I can come to terms with this situation – and feeling of ‘rejection’ – and look to move forward with my life.  Being more pragmatic and realistic with what I can and cannot influence in my life so I don’t linger on things that I cannot change or influence.  This includes a better understand of how I impact the way other people feel and how I should not be looking to try and change how they feel – as I can’t do that!

The service I received was second to none.  I was treated with respect but also given clear and firm feedback about my different situations.  This really helped me to put my situation in perspective and give me tools on how to deal with issues in the future."
